Yep you read that right. We've laid our money down and are eagerly waiting for VB 4.0 Publishers Suite to hit it's gold release. Next week the beta will be released to those that bought on the pre-release program.
Testing, planing, working up a format and design. AnimeAppeal is going to have a new look and feel about it.

I took Russell's advice a while back and didn't give up on AnimeAppeal. Instead I kept her alive and kicking. And now with some powerful software to use, we're going to be bigger and badder than ever before. If you want to help plan out what direction we're going to go in and what you think you'd like to see, let me know. What works for me may not work for you. You talk, we listen.

I jumped on the pre-sale pricing so it wasn't too bad. Those buying later are going to pay top dollar.

Man what a bumpy lift off. Buzz got us upgraded and fix all the little(?) problems that came with it. When we moved hosting, Buzz was able to resolve a lot more of the problems. It runs great, thanks Buzz.
Now we're flying high and enjoying the view. I've gotten real comfortable with VB4 and have made a couple of themes for it. I've made repairs on most of the damaged links but still have a few left in Seti's World to get to.
The VB CMS has been replaced with vBadvanced's CMPS which is more user friendly. I already know how to work that one. The VB CMS is still too clunky and not user friendly at all. Plus it has a lot of unresolved bugs yet to be addressed. It's disabled not abandoned. When they get it to where it's easier to set up and use, I'll turn it back on and make use of it.
The blogs are set up. They're clunky but manageable for any one that has permission to have one. Right now it's just me and Buzz. I use it to keep the members up on how things are going and what I've done to the forum itself.
I got put on to an add on at VB org that resolved the OVER SIZED pictures. Seems VB is not giving the albums the attention they need. Before the add on was installed, what sized image you uploaded is what the system would display. It was breaking the forum off on the right side with the images flaring out to the right. The re-sizer add on is jscript and is very fast in resizing images in posts "on the fly". It's simple. It's user friendly. And it's free. If you have VB4, this is a "must have" add on.

Note: If you have VB4, then you might be interested in a project going on where I'm making a image based pictorial guide as to what stylevars do what to the forum. It's a long list of stylevars so it's a work in progress. Some of my cohorts are covering over brand name forum software. I'll let you know when that's ready for prime time.
